A little over a month ago we had a photographer come to the house to take newborn photos of Matthew. Jack was just under two at the time, and Matthew 3 months old. The day did not go quite as Mom had planned.... Jack woke up from his nap very unhappy to find a studio set up in our dining room, and wanted nothing to do with the shoot. It's rare for our sweet little Jack to be in a bad mood, and also for him not to want to be in pictures, as he is usually such a ham! But we need to remember he is a toddler, and is entitled to have his toddler meltdown moments :)
The day seemed like such a disaster with our babies trading off crying, Matthew spitting up (and doing other things!) on the photographer's props, and Brendan and I taking turns to console the baby or chase after Jack. The photographer could not have been more patient or understanding of our crazy family - and I'm also convinced she must be some sort of a magician, because we actually came out looking somewhat relaxed and happy in the photographs!
These last two pictures our photographer included in the proofs as a joke for us, and they pretty much sum up how the day went!! Love the one of the family of four... Chewie is having a fit, Jack running away, and the looks Brendan and I are giving each other are priceless! Then Jack in the midst of his meltdown, insisted on having his best friend "E" (as he calls his E.T. doll) and his paci in the picture with him. Classic!
